WESMAC 46’ Launch
For the College of The Atlantic
“OSPREY”

“OSPREY” is a WESMAC 46’ Solid fiberglass vessel built at the WESMAC CUSTOM BOAT shop in Surry, Maine by Steve Wessel and his crew. She is USCG certified to carry 38 people. She is powered by a C-15 850 HP Caterpillar engine.

“OSPREY” was built for the College of the Atlantic, Bar Harbor, Maine and will be Captained by Toby Stephenson (pictured below) who played a big part in her construction. Toby, Warren Kaericher & Corrie Roberts worked closely with

Steve and his crew to be sure that controls, safety equipment and electronics were placed to best suit the vessel’s needs and the needs of her passengers.

“OSPREY” will be used year round off the Maine Coast as a Marine Biology training and research class room complete with hydraulic crane, davit and all of the necessary equipment for their research.
